LACROSSE BEATS THE QUAKERS

PHILADLEPHIA -- The Temple University (2-2, 0-0 Atlantic 10) lacrosse squad defeated the Pennsylvania Quakers 12- 8 Tuesday afternoon, March 20 at Franklin Field.

Juniors Noelle Cebron (Yorktown, Pa./Yorktown) and Jessica Yemm (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) lead the Owls in scoring with three goals apiece. Junior Liz Frengs (Collingswood, N.J./ Collingswood) and senior Robin Keevan (Malvern, Pa./ Great Valley) added two goals. Junior teammates Patience Synnestvedt (Bryn Athyn, Pa./ Academy of the New Church) and Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) rounded out the scoring each with one goal. Senior co-captain Jen Jefferson (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and Cebron balanced the Owl attack with two assists.

Katie Spifford led the Quakers with two goals while six of her teammates each recorded a goal. Traci Marabella, Alison Polk-Williams, Jen Hartman and Julie Fishman all posted assists for Pennsylvania.

Temple begins its home season-opener hosting on Tuesday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. at Geasey Field against Penn State.
