SOPHOMORE DANIRA PENIC NAMED ATLANTIC 10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University tennis player Danira Penic earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors for the week ending March 24, 2002.

Penic received the honor after picking up one of only two singles wins for the Owls in their 5-2 loss to the Penn Quakers on March 23 when she defeated Nikki Ptak 6-1, 6-1. Penic also picked up the lone Owls doubles win along with teammate Lara Ercegovic when they defeated Rachel Scwcky and Shelah Chao 8-6.
