OWLS OPEN SEASON WITH A WIN OVER COLGATE

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University lacrosse (1-0, 0-0 Atlantic 10) defeated Colgate 8-6 in their season opener in overtime at Tyler Field in Hamilton, N.Y. The Owls roared back after being down 5-2 at halftime.

Leading the Owls with two goals each were senior Robin Keevan, juniors Patience Synnestvedt and Deanna Radcliffe. Junior Liz Frengs and sophomore Tiffany Pulaski each scored one goal for Temple. Senior goalkeeper Sheena Oomen (1-0) recorded 12 saves.

Kim Corcoran and Jane Manning lead Colgate with two goals while Adie Kreigstein and Meghan O'Neil each added a goal. Lauren Price posted two assists. Goalkeeper Jane Murray posted 16 saves.

Temple is in action this Friday, March 8, 2002 against Boston University at Eckerd College at 11:00 a.m. in St. Petersburg, FL
