OWLS LACROSSE LOSES TO No. 4 VIRGINIA, 18-8

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University lacrosse team (3-3, 0-0 Atlantic 10) lost to No. 4 Virginia (8-2) 18-8 in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday.

Senior Noelle Cebron (Yorktown, Pa./Yorktown) led Temple with four goals and one assist. Junior Jessica Yemm (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) recorded two goals and a game high three assists. Senior Jen Jefferson (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and junior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen) each added one goal for the Owls. Junior goalkeeper Sheena Oomen (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) posted 12 saves.

Virginia was led by Lauren Aumiller with six goals and one assist. Molly Cangemi and Amy Appelt added three goals a piece for the Cavaliers. Goalkeeper Andrea Pfeiffer recorded 12 saves.

The Owls return home Tuesday, April 2 at 3:00 p.m. against Lafayette at Geasey Field.
