No. 20 TEMPLE ENDS WIN STREAK WITH A LOSS TO NO. 1 PRINCETON

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team (6-4, 2-0 Atlantic 10), which earned their first national ranking of the season, lost to No. 1 Princeton 16-8, April 10 at Geasey Field. The No. 20 Owls trailed 8-1 at the intermission before erupting for seven goals in the second half of the game.

Senior Noelle Cebron (Yorktown, N.Y./ Yorktown), Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week, and junior Patience Synnestvedt (Bryn Athyn, Pa./Academy of the New Church) led Temple with four points (two goals, two assists). Senior Robin Keevan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) scored two goals for the Owls. Senior co-captain Jen Jefferson (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and junior Jessica Yemm (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) added a goal apiece for Temple.

Senior Lauren Simone (Delran, N.J./Delran) led Princeton with five goals and three assists. Freshman Lindsey Biles (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis), sophomore Theresa Sherry (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) and senior Charlotte Kenworthy (Frazer, Pa./Westtown) netted three goals apiece.

Up next for Temple an Atlantic 10 Conference road game against La Salle. The game begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
