PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University softball team (16-20, 6-3 A-10) shutout the Penn Quakers 2-0 and extended its win streak to seven games, this afternoon April 10, 2002 at Erny Field.

Junior pitcher Liz Naughton led the way for the Owls, pitching seven innings and giving up just two hits and striking out seven on the way to her sixth win of the season. Offensively, sophomore Lynsey Grace went two for three with two singles and two stolen bases. Freshman Aida Esquer backed up explosive defensive play in leftfield by going a perfect 2-2 at the plate. First basemen Bari Lynn Pflueger added a single and scored a run on a Penn error.
