AMONGST SEASON HIGHS, No. 20 TEMPLE DEFEATS LA SALLE 19-4

Philadelphia -- The Temple University (7-4, 3-0 Atlantic 10) lacrosse squad defeated the La Salle Explorers 19-4 on Friday afternoon at Geasey Field. The Owls scored its highest point total of the season (19), posted the highest point total for an individual player this season (Synnestvedt, 8) and tied a season high individual assist total (Cebron, 5).

Junior Patience Synnestvedt (Bryn Athyn, Pa./Academy of the New Church) led the Owls with a season high eight points (five goals, three assists). Senior Robin Keevan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) netted three goals for Temple. Senior Noelle Cebron (Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown) and junior Jessica Yemm (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) scored two goals apiece to add to the Owls offensive power. Junior teammates Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and Liz Frengs (Colingswood, N.J./Collingswood) contributed a goal apiece in the victory. Cebron tied a team high of five assists, which she set on April 7 against George Washington. Senior goalkeeper Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) recorded 14 saves.

Sophomore Tracy Guenther led the Explorers with three goals. Senior Jami Wilus netted a goal and later added an assist for La Salle. Goalkeepers Lianne Dictor and Erin Hogan combined for 11 saves.

Temple continues their conference homestand with a 12:00 p.m. start Sunday against Saint Joseph's University.
