OWLS BOUNCE BONNIES AS PFLUEGER PITCHES TWO HITTER AND HITS GRANDSLAM

In game one, junior Chrissy Harris hit a homerun in the bottom of the second to put the Owls on the board 1-0. In the third, Pflueger came to the plate with the bases loaded and posted four of her six RBI's after smacking a grand slam homerun over the centerfield fence to make it 5-0 Temple. Plueger continued her offensive explosion in the fifth inning after hitting a two-run homerun to make it 7-0 Temple. With that homerun, Pflueger tied Temple's single season homerun record with six. In the bottom of the sixth, sophomore Katie Mennig, pitch running for senior Alexis Pena scored on and error to win the game for Temple 8-0.
In game two, the offense started early for the Owls after Pflueger knocked in her seventh run of the day on a single to rightfield scoring senior Katie Spencer. After junior Chrissy Harris walked and catcher Alexis Gary popped up, freshman Aida Esquer singled to center scoring both Pflueger and sophomore Lindsay Grace making it 4-0 Temple. In the second, the Cherry & White posted two more runs on a another single by Pflueger that scored Grace and an error by St. Bonaventure that scored Pflueger. The Owls final two runs were scored on a two run homerun by Grace in the fifth to win the game for the Owls.
Temple concludes their series with the Bonnies tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. at Erny Field. Tomorrow will be the last home game of the season for the Owls and they will honor their seniors before the game.
