OWLS SOFTBALL COMPLETES THREE GAME SWEEP OF ST. BONAVENTURE

PHILADELPHIA-- The Temple University women's softball team (24-22, 13-5 A-10) completed a three game sweep of the St. Bonaventure Bonnies this afternoon, April 28, 2002 at Erny Field.

It was pitchers dual from the start as Temple junior Liz Naughton, the eventual game winner, gave up just three hits and Bonnies's pitcher Laura Hart gave up eight hits to the Owls. In the bottom of the sixth inning, sophomore leftfielder Lynsey Grace smacked a three-run homerun to centerfield to make it 3-0 Temple. This was all the Cherry and White would need as Naughton finished the game for her 14th complete game of the season.

The Owls return to action this weekend as they take on the Dayton Flyers on May 3 and 4 in Dayton, Ohio.
