TEMPLE LACROSSE SHOOTS DOWN GEORGE WASHINGTON

Washington, D.C. -- The Temple lacrosse team (6-3, 2-0 Atlantic 10) notched its second straight road victory with a 18-4 win over George Washington (3-7, 0-4 George Washington) on April 7 at Mount Vernon Athletic Conference Field.

Senior Noelle Cebron (Yorktown, N.Y./ Yorktown), the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, recorded a season-high seven points (two goals and five assists). Junior Jessica Yemm (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) led the Owls with four goals. Sophomore Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) and junior Liz Frengs (Collingswood, N.J./Collingswood) scored three goals while senior Jen Jefferson (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and junior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had two goals. Junior Patience Synnestvedt (Bryn Athyn, Pa./Academy of the New Church) and freshman Christie Keith each netted one goal. Junior goalie Sheena Oommen posted 16 saves on 20 shots.

Freshmen Heidi Mayer (Havertown, Pa./Haverford), Jamie Lee (Berkeley, Ca./Berkeley) and Meghan McDonough (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) led the Colonials in scoring with a goal apiece. Junior Jacqueline Arfaa (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) also added a goal for George Washington. Freshman goalkeeper Casey Atkins (Concord MA/Concord Carlisle) recorded 12 saves.

Temple returns home to its home turf to face No. 2 Princeton on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at Geasey Field.
