PFLUEGER NAMED FIRST TEAM MID-ATLANTIC ALL AMERICAN FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

PHILADELPHIA -- For the second year in a row, junior pitcher/first baseman Bari Lynn Pflueger of the Temple University softball team, was named a NFCA First-Team Mid-Atlantic Region All-American. Pflueger was named to the squad as a utility player.

Pflueger broke Temple's single season RBI record in 2002 knocking in 43. She also tied the single season homerun record with six and was first on the team with 21 walks. Overall, Pflueger batted .284 with 40 hits and 21 runs scored.

On the mound for the Owls, Pflueger posted a 2.21 ERA, a 9-11 win/loss record and had 12 complete games.

The Cherry and White were 27-25 overall this season and compiled a 15-6 Atlantic 10 Conference record. The team finished third in the A-10 Championships.
