OWLS FACE VIRGINIA IN FIRST ROUND OF NCAA LACROSSE TOURNAMENT

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple (14-4) will visit Virginia (14-3) in a first round NCAA Lacrosse Division I Women's match up on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Owls, the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament Champions, earned an automatic bid by capturing their second straight A-10 Conference title. Temple finished the season undefeated in the A-10 for the second year in a row and currently own a 14 game regular season conference-winning streak. The Owls also have won 24 of its last 25 regular season conference contests.

The winner of Thursday's match up between Temple and Virginia will face the winner of the number three seed North Carolina (15-2) and University of Maryland Baltimore County (12-4), who will play on Thursday at North Carolina.

The NCAA quarterfinals will be held on Sunday May 12. The semifinals and finals will be held at Loyola (Md.) on May 17 and 19.
