OWLS DEFEAT DRAGONS 2-1

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University women's soccer team (4-3) picked up their fourth win of the season this afternoon September 18, 2002 when they defeated the Drexel Dragons 2-1.
The Owls scored early in the first period when junior defender Stephanie Godsell scored on penalty kick . Drexel answered back ten minutes later in the first period when defender Ryann Scrafford scored when the ball reflected off her legs into the net. Sophomore midfielder Courtney Eaton came through for the Owls in the 65th minute of the game after getting a pass from freshman Stephanie Vietry for a clear shot in to the goal.
Owls goalie Jackie Mauro was credited for the win after playing all 90 minutes in goal and posting seven saves.
The Owls are on the road this weekend when they take on St. Francis on Sunday, September 21, 2002. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
