OWLS SHUTOUT SAINT FRANCIS 2-0

Loretto, Pa.--The Temple University women's soccer team (5-3) notched their second straight win when they defeated St. Francis 2-0 this afternoon, September 22, 2002.

Senior Lisa Jakubowicz scored the first goal in the 56th minute to break a scoreless tie in the second period. Freshman Samantha Vietry broke the tie in minute 82 off an assist off Freshman Trish Dalton.

Sophomore goalie Jackie Mauro led the way for the Owls after turning in a dominating performance in the net, recording 10 saves.

The Owls are back on the road on Wednesday, September 25 when they face Virginia. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
