OWLS WIN VOLLEYBALL STUNNER 3-2 OVER FORDHAM

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University volleyball team (10-5, 1-0 A-10) came back from a two games to none deficit to defeat the Fordham Rams three games to two tonight, September 27, 2002 at McGonigle Hall. The game scores were 27-30, 24-30, 30-22, 30-21 and 15-12.

Temple was led by outside hitter Xu Yun who posted her second double-double this week with 19 kills and 10 digs. Fellow outside hitter also posted a double-double with 20 kills and 21 digs. Middle Blocker Margarent Majewska contributed 11 kills and 19 digs. Setter Alison Runk posted 46 assists.

The Rams were led by outside hitter Beth Crockett with 18 kills and 16 digs and outside hitter Roxanne Hill with 15 kills and 12 digs. Setter Kristyn Daly posted 44 saves in the Rams loss.

The Owls play at home again tomorrow, September 27. 2002 against the Rhode Island Rams. Match time is 4:00 p.m.
