VIETRY NAMED ATLANTIC 10 CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Philadelphia, Pa.- Freshman forward Stephanie Vietry (Cranston, R.I./Cranston
High West) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week, it was
announced today, September 3, 2002.
This past weekend, August 31, 2002 in her collegiate debut, Vietry netted a pair
of goals, including the game winner, as Temple defeated the University of Vermont in
the first round of the Adidas/Vermont Soccer Classic. Vietry was the leading scorer in
the tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Vietry shares the Atlantic 10 honor with Lois Bennett of St. Bonaventure.
The Owls, under the direction of nine-year Head Coach Seamus McWilliams, is
back in action this weekend, September 6 when they face Niagra University in Niagra,
N.Y.
