WOMEN'S BASKETBALL OPENS SEASON IN DEAN TRAILWAYS OF MICHIGAN SPARTAN CLASSIC

East Lansing, MI - The Temple women's basketball team opens the 2003-04 season on the road taking on Florida International in its season opener on Saturday, November 22 (7:00 p.m.) in the Spartan Classic hosted by Michigan State.

Florida International has won the only other previous meeting between the two schools, defeating the Owls, 80-55, on December 29, 1999 at the FIU Fun in the Sun Classic.

The winner of the match-up will meet the winner of the tournament's first game between host Michigan State and Davidson on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The losers of the first two games will meet in the consolation game on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. There is no local radio or television for the tournament.
