TEMPLE FOOTBALL SIGNS FOUR MID-YEAR JUNIOR COLLEGE TRANSFERS

PHILADELPHIA-The Temple University Football Program, under the direction of head coach Bobby Wallace, today announced that it has signed four, mid-year junior college transfers to national letters of intent. These student-athletes are eligible for spring semester enrollment and have the opportunity to participate in spring 2004 football practice.

Three of the four players signed received Junior College All-America mention. Two student-athletes, running back Tim Brown and place kicker Ryan Lux, were cited as First Team All-Americans by JC Grid-Wire, a publication that selects its honorees from all of the nation's 142 junior college football programs (70 National Junior College Athletic Association; 72 Community College League of California ). Brown was also named the California Community College Football Coaches Association's 2003 Offensive Player of the Year.

Other signees include punter Jake Hendy, an honorable mention JC Grid-Wire All-American and defensive lineman Neil Dickson, an All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honoree.

Geographically, two signees call California home, one is a native of Utah and the other resides in Kansas.

The signing period for mid-year junior college transfers is from December 17, 2003 to January 15, 2004. The regular football signing period runs from February 4, 2004 until April 1, 2004.
