12.29.03 | Women's Basketball
The new single, "Limbo Rock," is credited to Chubby C, Checker's latest incarnation. The new hit song has already risen to the top-five on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Chart. Similar to "The Twist," "Limbo Rock" gets the party moving in a way that makes you want to get up and dance, a trademark of Checker's which has kept him on the Billboard Record Charts for the past 44 years. The song also features the rap duo OD along with the original Bad Boys of Reggae, Inner Circle.
Born Ernest Evans 62 years ago, Checker moved to Philadelphia when he was 10 years old. His breakout single, "The Twist," was the only record to reach number-one twice in its glory, once in 1960 and again in 1962. The advent of Chubby Checker turned the world into dancing machines. His music is loved and respected, and his worldwide tours have audiences of all ages dancing in the aisles.
