WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HITS THE ROAD FOR A CLASH WITH No. 22 RUTGERS

Piscataway, N.J. - The Temple women's basketball team will travel to Rutgers to face the 22nd-ranked Scarlet Knights on Saturday, December 6 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Rutgers is 3-3 on the season with all of its wins coming on its home floor. Temple is 2-1 and coming off a long layoff following its 68-46 home opening win over East Tennessee State back on November 28.
Sophomore center Candice Dupree, a preseason second team all-conference selection, is the Owls' top scorer, averaging 15 points per game. Senior forward Tynecia Pam is Temple's leading rebounder, averaging seven rebounds per game.
Junior All-American guard Cappie Pondexter leads Rutgers in scoring averaging 16.5 points per game. Senior forward Shalicia Hurns is the Scarlet Knights top rebounder, averaging 9.5 boards per contest.
The game will mark the third meeting between Rutgers head coach C. Vivian Stringer, in her ninth season with the Scarlet Knights and Temple head coach Dawn Staley, in her fourth season with the Owls.
