SOFTBALL RAINED OUT AT NFCA LEAD OFF CLASSIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA

The NFCA Lead Off Classic was scheduled to begin play Friday, February 21 in Columbus, Georgia. A severe downpour and sporadic rainfall throughout the afternoon, however, flooded the fields and halted all play until Saturday, February 22.

Temple (1-1) was set to play South Carolina on Friday at 2:30 when rain stopped all games. Due to wet fields and rainy conditions, NFCA officials postponed the tournament until Saturday.

The Owls will play on Saturday at 1 p.m. against South Carolina. That game will be followed by a 3 p.m. contest versus Michigan and a 7 p.m. game against Washington. Tournament play is scheduled to begin when pool play has concluded.
