Kate Murray led Penn with two goals. Emily Cochran, Lindsey Cassidy, Alison Polk-Williams, and Katie Spofford scored one goal to round out the scoring for the Quakers.
The Quakers opened up the contest on a goal by Spofford at 27:25 into the game and added another goal at 19:49 by Williams,which gave them a two-goal lead.The Owl's answered with a four goal unanswered goals. Senior Frengs opened the scoring for the Owls with a goal at 8:45 in the first half.Freshmen Talese scored the next goal at the 4:12 mark, tying the score at 2-2. Pulaski posted two goals in a 1:13 span, giving the Owls a 4-2 lead at halftime.
Penn started the scoring the second half at 28:09 with a goal by Murray, to cut the Owls lead to 4-3. The Owls responded with two straight goals, Pulaski with her third goal to open a 5-3 lead for the Owls and Radcliffe giving the Owls a 6-3 lead. Penn came back with two goals, one by Cochran at the 23:17 mark, and Cassidy followed with 22:45 remaining in the contest, cutting the lead to 6-5. Yemm sealed the win for the Owls with the a goal at the 6:37 mark, assisted by Pulaski. Penn added a late goal, making the final score 7-6.
Temple goalkeeper, senior Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) had 16 saves. The Quakers goalkeeper, senior Alaina Harper (Washington, D.C.) had 10 saves in the contest.
Temple will visit Easton, Pa. on March 23 at 1p.m. to take on Lafayette.
