LACROSSE FALLS AT No. 11 PENN STATE

State College, Pa. - The Temple lacrosse team (4-2, 0-0 A-10) suffered its second loss of the season at 11th-ranked Penn State (4-3, 0-0 Big Ten) 13-7 on March 25.

Freshman Patty Glavin (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) led the Owls with three goals, including a free position goal as time expired in the loss. Seniors Liz Frengs (Collingswood, N.J./Collingswood) and Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) along with junior Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) and freshman Nicole Cataldo (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) each added goal for Temple. Radcliffe was credited with the Owls' lone assist on the afternoon.

Kristen Burke led the Nittany Lions with four goals and was one of four multi goal scorers for Penn State.

Senior goalie Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), who was the sole netminder for Temple, had 13 saves. Lee Tortorelli had 17 saves for Penn State.

Temple returns home to host Virginia on Saturday, March 29 at Geasey Field followed by a Sunday matchup with Old Dominion on March 30. The start time for both games is 1:00 p.m.
