OWLS WOMEN'S TENNIS FALL TO QUAKERS 6-1

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University Women's Tennis team (4-4) fell to the Pennsylvania Quakers 6-1 this afternoon, March 21, 2003.

Freshman Mia Marovic, the only Owl to get a win, pulled out a 6-1, 6-3 straight set victory over Nikki Ptak in the No. 1 singles spot. Lauren Verall (No. 2), Laura Sieverling (No. 3 ) and Rene Deyzel (No. 4) all dropped their matches to Penn. The Owls had to forfeit their final two singles matches due to injury.

Next up for the Owls is a home match against Xavier on March 29, 2003. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
