OWLS WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO PENN STATE 6-1

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University Women's Tennis (3-1) team suffered a tough 6-1 loss at the hands of the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday, March 1, 2003.

The doubles team of Lara Ercegovic and Mia Marovic pulled out an 8-6 victory over L. Merryman and M. Husain of Penn State. In singles action, Marovic also captured a 6-1, 6-1 straight set victory over Penn State's M. Marton.

Next up for the Owls is the San Diego Invitational which runs from March 14-March 16. The Owls are back home on March 21 to face the Penn Quakers.
