LACROSSE BEATS ST. BONAVENTURE TO TAKE OVER SOLE POSSESION OF A-10 FIRST PLACE

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team (9-5, 5-0 A-10) defeated St. Bonaventure (9-1, 3-1 A-10) 15-10 to take over sole possession of first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Freshman Patty Glavin (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) was the top goal scorer for the Owls with four goals. Sophomore Megan Condon (Abington, Pa./Abington), junior Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) and senior Jessica Yemm (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) each tallied three goals. Senior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) rounded out the Temple goal scoring with two goals. Yemm added three assists and was the Owls' top point producer on the afternoon with six points. Pulaski and Radcliffe each had an assist. Goalie Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) was the sole netminder for the Owls and recorded 21 saves.

Kelly Chevez led the Bonnies with four goals and an assist.

The Owls return to action on Wednesday, April 23 when they make the short trip to Saint Joseph's to take on the Hawks. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
