OWLS' NAUGHTON AND GRACE GARNER ATLANTIC 10 SOFTBALL WEEKLY HONORS

Senior pitcher Liz Naughton (Olyphant, PA/Mid-Valley) was named Atlantic 10 Co-Pitcher of the week and junior left fielder Lynsey Grace (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford) was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for their performances this past weekend when the Owls split a doubleheader with St. Bonaventure in Olean, NY. Naughton is in good company, sharing the honor with Kaila Holtz of Massachusetts, who earns the honor for the third time this season.

Grace was 5-8 (.625) in two games against the Bonnies, with two doubles and a homerun, her first of the season. She posted a 1.250 slugging percentage and collected ten total bases in the series.

Naughton earned the decision in both games against Bonaventure, coming home with a 1-1 record. In game one, she struck out eight batters and allowed no earned runs in six innings of work, despite losing the game. In the nightcap she was called upon in relief, pitching 2.1 innings and allowing no hits, no runs and striking out three.

The Owls return to action on Senior Day, Friday, April 25 in a conference doubleheader with the Fordham Rams. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. at Erny Field. Following the conclusion of the second game, Temple will honor the 2003 seniors, Chrissy Harris, Liz Naughton and Bari Lynn Pflueger.
