4.23.03 | Women's Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team (10-5, 5-0 A-10) won a true battle of the birds with Saint Joseph's (3-10, 0-5 A-10) 7-6 on April 23.

Senior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Owls in goals with three. Junior Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown), the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, added two goals as did senior Jessica Yemm (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin). Pulaski added two assists as Temple's top point producer on the afternoon. Yemm also had an assist. Goalie Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) saw all the action in goal and had 11 saves.

Kristen Teklinsky led Saint Joseph's with three goals. Kerry O'Connell (2) and Brett Dymarczyk (1) were the other goal scorers for the Hawks.

Temple struck first, just 45 seconds into the contest but the Owls held a slim 4-3 lead at halftime. Temple increased its lead to 6-4 in the second half with nine minutes remaining but the Hawks kept things too close for comfort right up until the end.

The Owls return home for their final regular season game of the year when they face La Salle on Friday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Geasey Field.
