LACROSSE DEFEATS EXPLORERS 19-7, EARNS TOP SEED IN A-10 TOURNEY.

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team (11-5, 7-0 A-10) defeated LaSalle (2-11, 2-5 A-10) 19-7 on April 26 at Geasey Field. Senior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegville, Pa. /Perkiomen Valley) led the Owls with five goals and one assist. Freshmen Patty Glavin (Folsom, Pa. /Ridley) had five goals, senior Jessica Yemm (Fort Washington, Pa. /Upper Dublin) added three goals and two assists, junior Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa. /Boyertown) had three goals and two assists, and sophomore Megan Condon (Abington, Pa. /Abington) rounded out the Temple goal scorers with three goals and one assist. Freshman Andrea Talese (Lansdale, Pa. /North Penn) added an assist for the Owls.

Kate Henwood led the Explorers with two goals and Kristen Davis added one goal and an assist to round out the top scorers for La Salle.

Temple goalie Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, NY. /New Hyde Park) had 20 saves and the Explorers goalie Lianne Dictor stopped 14 shots.

The Owls jumped out to a 7-3 lead at intermission. Temple scored 12 second half goals to earn the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Temple, the defending conference champions, will host the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Friday, May 2-3 at Geasey Field. Temple will play the number four seed St. Bonaventure at noon on Friday. The finals will take place on Saturday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m. The winner of the A-10 Championship receives an automatic berth to the 16 team NCAA Tournament.
