LACROSSE CAPTURES THIRD STRAIGHT ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A 15-9 WIN OVER UMASS

Junior Tiffany Pulaski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) was Temple's top point producer on the afternoon with four goals and two assists. Freshman Patty Glavin, (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Championship, had four goals and an assist, senior Deanna Radcliffe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) tallied two goals and two assists, freshman Nicole Cataldo (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) had two goals and an assist, senior Jessica Yemm (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) had two goals and sophomore Megan Condon (Abington, Pa./Abington) rounded out the Owls' scoring with a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Sheena Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) had 15 saves in the championship.
Junior Jada Emery (Princeton, N.J./West Weindsor-Plainsboro) led UMass with two goals and two assists. Sophomore Maura McGarrity (Chester Springs, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) had two goals and an assist, senior Leslie Pollock (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker) had two goals while seniors Lori Kain (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and Kelli Kurtz (Schwenksville, Pa./Spring-Ford) along with junior Hope Zelinger (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) each had a goal for the Minutewomen. Zelinger also had an assist. Senior goalie Cyndi Doyle (Bridgewater, Vt./Woodstock Union) had 14 saves for UMass.
Joining Glavin on the All-Championship team were Radcliffe, Yemm, Pulaski, Emery, McGarrity, Zelinger, Doyle, Libby Berlacher and Polly Purcell of Richmond and Sarah Dressler and Laura Spaulding of St. Bonaventure.
