SOFTBALL WILL MEET SAINT JOSEPH'S IN OPENING ROUND OF A-10 TOURNAMENT

5.7.03 | Softball

The Temple softball team departs Wednesday for Amherst, Massachusetts, where they will compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. They will face the number three seeded Saint Joseph's Hawks (24-13, 8-4) on Thursday, May 8 at 2 p.m. in the opening round.

During the regular season the Owls swept the Hawks 6-5 and 6-3 in a doubleheader at Temple's Erny Field on March 26.

Temple completed the regular season with a 20-18 overall record, and a 10-4 mark in conference play.

Top seeded and defending conference champions UMass (33-13,11-1) will meet the number four seeded Fordham Rams (37-17,10-6) at noon in the other first round contest.
