EAGLES, OWLS REACH AGREEMENT; TEMPLE TO PLAY FOOTBALL AT LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD

The Philadelphia Eagles and Temple University officials today announced the parties have reached agreement on a deal that will see the Owls play their home football games at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The 15-year pact, agreed upon this morning, will go into effect beginning with the 2003 NCAA season.

"Temple is very excited to be playing its home games in Lincoln Financial Field, the finest football facility in the country," said Howard Gittis, Chairman of the Temple University Board of Trustees. "We are looking forward to a very successful 2003 football season."

Added Eagles President Joe Banner, "We are and always have been very excited about the prospect of having Temple play in our building and are looking forward to helping them have the Division I football program they desire. We are glad to have concluded a mutually satisfactory deal and look forward to a long and successful partnership with Temple."

David Adamany, President of Temple University, said: "We are proud to be partners with the Eagles and congratulate everyone involved in these negotiations. This is a great day for Temple University football."

Temple will play its first game at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, September 6, against Villanova.
