WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS HOME OPENER TO LEHIGH, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA-The Temple women's soccer team dropped its home opener, 3-0, to Lehigh on Wednesday afternoon at Temple Stadium. Lehigh's Jocelyn Helwig had a goal and an assist to pace the Mountain Hawks while freshmen Lauren Calabrese and Meghan Duesing added second half goals.

Owls' goalkeeper Jackie Mauro had four saves and played the entire 90 minutes. Lehigh's keeper Erin Iwaskiewicz had two saves in posting the shutout.

Lehigh (2-1) dominated offensively with a 10-3, advantage in shots and an 11-2, advantage in corner kicks.

Temple (0-3) will next host Siena on Wednesday, September 10 (4:00 p.m.) at Temple Stadium.
