PHILADELPHIA - Freshman guard Britney Jordan was named Atlantic 10 women's basketball Rookie of the Week on January 25. The Peoria, Illinois native helped Temple improve to 5-0 in conference play during the week by posting a career-high in each of the Owls' games.
Jordan began the week by notching 10 points and a career-high four steals against Rhode Island in a 57-47 Temple win. She followed that effort with eight points and four steals as the Owls dropped a non-conference decision to Rutgers, 64-45. Jordan concluded the week with a career-high 27 points in Temple's 72-70 overtime win against A-10 West leader, Richmond.
Jordan averaged 15 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.3 assists per game over the three game span. She was 10-13 from the free throw line and shot 41.7 percent from the floor on the week. This is her first Rookie of the Week honor.
