WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST UMASS

Massachusetts (5-13, 1-6 A-10) enters the game following a 53-43 home loss to Xavier on January 23. Temple's last game was a 62-61 overtime win at Saint Joseph's, which was previously unbeaten in A-10 play, on January 25. The Owls lead the all-time series 22-20 and Temple won the most recent meeting, 52-40, earlier this month on January 9 at the Mullins Center.
Sophomore center Candice Dupree leads the Owls in scoring (14.8 ppg.) and rebounding (7.5 rpg.). Dupree has recorded back-to-back double-doubles in Temple's last two games. Junior guard Cynthia Jordan, the Owls' second-leading scorer, tops the team in assists (4.2 apg.) and leads the A-10 in assist/turnover ratio at 1.95/1. Freshman guard Britney Jordan is the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and also holds the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week distinction. She has led Temple in scoring in the last two games, including a career-high 27 against Richmond on January 23 and 15 against Saint Joseph's two days later.
Senior guard Judit Zsedenyi is Massachusetts' top scorer at 10.6 points per game. Junior Brooke Campbell leads the Minutewomen in rebounding at 7.4 boards per contest.
