PITTSBURGH - It took until the 98th minute of the game for the first score, unfortunately, for Temple, it was the last. Duquesne 's Faye Rasmussen tallied the one goal of the evening on an assist by Katie Schwager to lead the Dukes to a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the Owls in an Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer battle. The loss drops Temple to 4-12 overall and 1-7 in the A-10. The victory puts Duquesne at 8-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the A-10.
Duquesne dominated on the offensive end, firing an astounding 33 shots on goal. Senior keeper Jackie Mauro was again stellar in goal for the Owls, recording 12 saves before Rasmussen put one past her in the extra frame. Temple's offense, on the other hand, could muster only three shots on goal.
Temple next travels to St. Bonaventure to take on the Bonnies Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
