MASLESA POSTS STRONG SHOWING AT ITA WOMEN'S TENNIS REGIONALS

-- Temple University junior singles player Ana Maslesa had an impressive weekend at the ITA Regionals hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at the Robert Levy Tennis Pavilion.

 

After receiving a first round bye, Maslesa defeated Marshall's #1 singles performer Ashley Kroh, 6-4, 6-3, in a tight match in the round of 64.

 

In the round of 32, Maslesa faced the tournament's #2 seed Megan Muth who is currently ranked 15th in the college ITA rankings. After a strong first set in which she had two opportunities to win, the Split, Croatia native fell, 7-5.  Muth took the second set, 6-1, to take the match.

 

Maslesa is now preparing to go to Tallahasse, Fla. for the FSU Lady Seminole Classic this weekend.
