TALLAHASSEE, FL -- Junior Ana Maslesa was a one-woman show representing the Temple University women's tennis team this past weekend (Oct. 29-31) at the 2004 Lady Seminole Classic held on the campus of Florida State University.
Maslesa won one of three singles matches in the high-level tournament. The Split, Crotia native defeated Caroline Hammond of Virginia, 7-6, 6-1 on Friday before dropping singles matches to student-athletes from South Florida and Baylor. Her place was fourth overall in her flight.
In doubles, Maslesa teamed with Allison Silverio of Georgia tech to take sixth place in the tournament despite dropping their two matches to teams from Bethune-Cookman and Central Florida.
This was the final competition for the Temple women's tennis team. The Owls next return to the courts on January 29 when they travel to Penn State for a noon match.
