JEN VALORE NAMED ASSISTANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE COACH

PHILADELPHIA - Jen Valore, a former standout defender at James Madison University while playing for first-year Temple University head women's lacrosse coach Jennifer Ulehla, will join her mentor as a part-time assistant on the Owls staff.
"I am so proud and excited to be working with Jen Valore again. Her character and dedication was such an integral part of the JMU 2000 Final Four," said Ulehla. "Specifically hired as our Defensive Coach, her leadership knowledge and experience elevates our program and completes our staff".
Valore, a four-year starter at JMU (1997-2000), ranks third all-time in minutes played for the Dukes with 4,128 minutes. The Moorestown, NJ native (Moorestown HS), who was honored as the 2000 South Jersey Collegiate Defender of the Year, also ranks ninth all-time in caused turnovers at JMU with 54. During her career, James Madison was consistently ranked in the Top 10 nationally, making four consecutive NCAA appearances and reaching the NCAA Final Four her senior season. A team captain on that Final Four squad, Valore led the Dukes to a 13-5 record and a #3 final ranking. JMU also captured two Colonial Athletic Association championships (1997, 1999) in her four seasons at the school.
A three-time CAA Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-District honoree, Valore has been involved in athletic administration since earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from James Madison in 2000. She served two years as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Office at Drexel University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Communications (2002). Valore moved on from Drexel to become an assistant SID/marketing director at Siena College. Ths past May, she left Siena to take the position of Director of Marketing for Tri-State Lacrosse and the New Jersey Pride of the Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
