AIMEE CICERO NAMED ASSISTANT SPORTS MEDIA RELATIONS DIRECTOR

PHILADELPHIA - Aimee Cicero, an assistant sports information director/publications coordinator at Drexel University the last two years, has been named Assistant Sports Media Relations Director at Temple University. She will serve as the primary media relations contact for Temple University's women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's volleyball and men's and women's crew teams. She will also serve as the media coordinator for the 2004 NCAA Women's Basketball Philadelphia Regional hosted by Temple University.

Cicero, a 2001 graduate of American University, has been working in the sports information field since her freshman year at the Washington, DC-based school. After serving four years as a student assistant at American University, she moved across town to work as an assistant at Georgetown. There, she served as the primary media contact for men's and women's soccer, field hockey, baseball, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's crew. She also served as an assistant media coordinator for the first and second rounds of the 2002 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Lansdowne, Pa. native returned to the Philadelphia area in August, 2002 to work at Drexel. With the Dragon Athletic program, Cicero served as a the primary media contact for women's basketball, field hockey, men's and women's swimming and diving and women's lacrosse. She also coordinated the publications for the University's athletic teams as well as assisting with the design and maintenance of the University's athletic website.
