PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University junior forwards Samantha and Stephanie Vietry have been named to the 2004 Academic All-District II University Division Women's Soccer second team. The team, which was selected by a vote of the district's sports information directors, was announced Thursday, November 4.
The twin sisters have almost identical academic records at Temple University. Both starters, Stephanie Vietry has earned a 3.93 cumulative grade point average while majoring in finance. Her sister, Samantha, has compiled a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as an accounting and international business major. The twins are natives of Cranston, RI where they attended Cranston High West.
The Vietrys also earned Academic All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors this season along with junior defender Trish Dalton.
