SOFTBALL'S WHITE EARNS A-10 PITCHER OF THE WEEK HONORS

With the bases loaded and Temple down by two runs in the fourth inning, White entered the game in relief of starting pitcher Richelle Villescas. White struck out the next two batters to end the inning. Throughout the final three innings, White held the Fighting Camels scoreless, allowing Temple to score the go-ahead run in the seventh. Credited with the 3-2 win, White struck out five batters and allowed no runs, one hit and two walks in three-and-two-thirds innings of play.
White served as a reliever in two of the three games Temple played at the Triangle Classic. Overall, White allowed just three hits in over six innings of relief pitching, while striking out six batters.
White will be back in action with the Owls on February 20-22 at the University of Southern Florida Tournament. In three days of tournament action, Temple will play Tulsa, Hofstra and Maryland.
