#11 HARVARD DEFEATS TEMPLE IN WOMEN'S TENNIS, 6-1

Harvard's doubles teams swept their matches. The No. 1 team of Susanna Lingman and Courtney Bergman defeated Danira Penic and Ama Maslesa, 8-0. The teams of Eva Wang and Ashley Hyotte and Preethi Mukundun and partner Cindy Chu each posted 8-2 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles defeating the teams of Jennifer Goeta and Laura Seiverling and Lauren Verrall and Javkie Sy, respectively, .
Hyotte was forced to default due to injury at No. 6 singles. Lingman was the first one off the court, defeating Verrall, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Mukundun topped Goeta 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Chu clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Seiverling at No. 4 singles. Bergman battled her way to a 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (7) win over Penic at No. 1 singles. Wang rounded out the singles action with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win over Ana Masela at No. 2 singles.
Both Bergman and Wang are ranked among the nation's Top 20 singles players.
Temple will next host Columbia at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Courts on Saturday (7:30 p.m.).
