LACROSSE FLIES BY VILLANOVA, 12-5 IN SEASON OPENER

PHILADELPHIA - Senior midfielder Tiffany Pulaski scored four goals and added three assists, for a seven-point afternoon as the Temple lacrosse team won its season-opener, 12-5 at Villanova on March 13.

Megan Condon added three goals and an assist, Nicole Cataldo notched two goals and an assist and Casey Cech rounded out the multi-point performers with a goal and an assist. Johna Capaldo and Corey Leader each scored a goal while Kelly Yemm had one assist for the Owls. Goalie Megan McLouth had 15 saves for Temple.

Becky Gardner led Villanova with four goals. Jamie Schneider was the only other Wildcat to hit the back of the net with a single goal.

Temple opened the game's scoring on an unassisted goal by Pulaski before the contest was two minutes old. The Owls led 5-2 at the break and broke things open in the second half to seal the win.

Temple will next face Penn on Wednesday March 17. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
