PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team fell to Penn for the first time in 10 years, 10-6 on March 17 on the Quakers' home field. The last time Penn defeated Temple in lacrosse was March 29, 1994.

Senior Tiffany Pulaski and freshman Casey Cech led the Owls in scoring with two goals apiece. Sophomores Corey Leader and Nicole Cataldo each had a goal for Temple.

Emily Cochran led Penn with a game-high four goals. Ali Ryan added three goals and Chrissy Muller tallied a goal and an assist for the Quakers.

Penn opened the scoring when the game was just 1:46 old and never trailed in the contest. The Quakers raced out to a 5-1 advantage and led the Owls 8-4 at halftime. Penn scored the first two goals of the second stanza to push its lead to 10-4 before Temple answered with the final two goals of the game, suffering its first defeat of the season and its first loss to Penn in a decade.

Next up for the Owls, a home opener against Atlantic 10 Conference foe Duquesne on March 20 at Geasey Field. Game time is 12:00 noon.
