LACROSSE DROPS HOME OPENER TO DUQUESNE
3.20.04 | Women's Lacrosse
The Dukes dominated offensively and possessed the ball for the majority of minutes during the game. Duquesne took the lead early as sophomore midfielder Caroline Gallagher scored about one and a half minutes into the game. Her goal marked the first of 12 for the Dukes in the first half. The Dukes' dominance continued into the second half as they scored six more times and held Temple to only two goals in that period.
Freshman Allison Frengs led the Owls' offensive effort with two goals, one in each half. Senior Tiffany Pulaski and sophomore midfielders Nicole Cataldo and Corey Leader each notched one goal for the Owls.
As the first game in Atlantic 10 Conference action this season, the loss broke the Owls' 19 game A-10 win streak.
Temple next hosts Penn State in a non-conference game on Tuesday, March 23 at 3:00 p.m. Geasey Field.
