DANIRA PENIC EARNS A-10 WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior Danira Penic has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week in women's tennis. It is the second time this season she has been honored this season.
Penic won both of her matches at number one singles. On Tuesday she defeated Caroline Stanislawski of Penn, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. She also teamed with Ana Maslesa to win at number one doubles, 8-4.
On Sunday Penic downed Xavier's Lauren Clary, 6-0, 6-0. She again teamed with Maslesa to defeat Clary and Stephanie Bauer, 9-7, in doubles.
For the year, Penic owns a 10-8 mark at first singles and has teamed with Maslesa for a 9-4 doubles record.
