SOFTBALL TO HOST FORDHAM IN HOME OPENER

During the trip, freshman Adrienne Repsher hit .454 (15-33) with four doubles, three home runs, 10 RBIs, and four stolen bases. In her best game of season, Repsher nailed a three-run homer to lead the Owls over St. Francis (N.Y.), 9-1, on March 12. Repsher's strong performance earned her Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending March 14. Repsher shared the honor with Fordham's Sara Kinney.
Offensive leaders for the Owls also include seniors Lynsey Grace and Katie Weigle, who own a .313 and a .410 batting average, respectively. In 67 at-bats Grace has contributed 21 hits with five doubles, two home runs, and 12 RBIs. Weigle leads the team with 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts. In 61 at-bats Weigle has 25 hits and 11 runs.
On the mound, freshman starting pitcher Richelle Villescas (8-8) owns a 2.67 ERA. Senior reliever Kim Watkins owns a 1.19 ERA and a 3-0 record in 14 appearances.
Temple last met Fordham on April 25, 2003, when the Owls and Rams spilt a doubleheader at Temple Stadium. Fordham narrowly won the first game, 1-0, and the Owls took the second game, 7-4.
