LACROSSE NETS A 20-14 WIN AT MASSACHUSETTS TO CLOSE ROAD TRIP

AMHERST, MASS. - Sophomore Corey Leader had an eight-point afternoon (4 goals, 4 assists) to lead the Temple lacrosse team (7-6, 4-1 A-10) to a 20-14 victory at Massachusetts on April 18. It was the third time in as many games (all wins) that the Owls have scored 20 or more goals.

Fellow sophomore Nicole Cataldo had a game-high seven goals for Temple. Senior Tiffany Pulaski (3 goals, 1 assist) and freshmen Allison Frengs and Casey Cech, who scored two goals apiece were the other multi-point scorers for the Owls. Freshman Johna Capaldo and senior Marie DesMarias each added a goal for the Owls. Goalie Megan McLouth had 12 saves for Temple.

Tracey Drown led Massachusetts with six goals and two assists to match Leader's game-high point production. Hope Zelinger added three goals for the Minutewomen. Goalie Remy Bacaicoa had a game-high 14 saves for UMass.

The Owls return home to host Delaware in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, April 21 at Geasey Field in their last regualr season home game of the season. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
