TEMPLE FALLS TO #57 VCU, 5-2, IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

RICHMOND, VA -- Virginia Commonwealth, ranked 57th in the nation, won four singles matches and claimed the doubles point to defeat Temple, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. The Rams improved to 13-6, while the Owls dropped to 2-14.

Temple's Danira Penic continued her impressive play at first singles, defeating Silvia Urikova, 7-6, 7-5. Laura Seiverling topped Diana Campo, 6-2, 6-0, at number six singles for the Owls other win.

The Owls are now off until the Atlantic 10 Tournament held in College Park, Md. from April 16 through 18. Temple won the A-10 Championship last year.
